Faecal sample (Universal container). Upon receipt in the laboratory the sample is stored in the freezer prior to extraction.

Expected turnaround time: 72 hours

Used in the investigation of pancreatic deficiency
Specimen must be formed stool, liquid samples are unsuitable. Contact laboratory for more information.
Normal pancreatic function >200 µg/g 
Moderate to mild pancreatic insufficiency 100 - 200 µg/g
Severe exocrine pancreatic insufficiency <100 µg/g
