Sweat tests should be delayed in subjects who are oedematous and/or on systemic corticosteroid. Sweat tests should be delayed in subjects who are dehydrated, underweight, systemically unwell or who have eczema affecting potential stimulation sites. Sweat tests should not be performed in subjects who are on oxygen by an open delivery system. Throughout collection, transport and analysis, every effort should be made to minimise evaporation of the sample.
