| Cancer Antigen 15‑3 (CA 15‑3) is used in the management of breast cancer, in conjunction with other clinical and diagnostic procedures. Serial testing with this assay is an aid in the early detection of recurrence in previously treated stage II and III breast cancer patients and for monitoring response to therapy in metastatic breast cancer patients | ||
| Samples should not be taken from patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (i.e. > 5 mg/day) until at least 8 hours following the last biotin administration. Please contact laboratory for further information | ||
