1 x serum sample

When requesting in ICE Order Comms, each request for CSF Oligoclonal Bands generates a concurrent request for 'Serum Sample (for Oligoclonal Bands)' (code 'SOLI'). This can be sent with a blood sample (serum, brown bottle) alongside the CSF sample or can be added to an existing request in the laboratory if there is already a serum sample available. 

Samples are stored refrigerated prior to referral

N.B. Please ensure that the CSF sample and serum sample are sent to the referral laboratory at the same time, please do not send the CSF sample without the serum sample
