Test indications

Two tests are performed to assess the function of both the classical and alternate complement pathways (CH100 and AP100).  These are Indicated for diagnosis of Complement deficiency and investigation of recurrent Neisserial infections. 

 

Interferences

Sample must be separated and frozen within 60 mins to prevent falsely low function results.                       

EDTA plasma samples should not be used as the chelation of calcium ions render some of the Complement components to be inactive.

Reference Range

CH100= 69-129%  

AP100  =    30-113%
